Zipcar partners with Somerville startup on Boston EV charging hub

Somerville startup SparkCharge has partnered with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and Zipcar to deploy its first fast-charging hub for shared electric vehicles in the Northeast.

The charging station will be located at Zipcar’s maintenance facility in East Boston. It will be funded through MassCEC’s InnovateMass program, which provides up to $350,000 in grant funding and technical support to teams deploying new clean energy technologies or innovative combinations of existing technologies.
