The CEO of Canadian tech startup Cohere, Aidan Gomez, has said he sees the United States and Canada leading the field in AI commercialization.
Speaking at a conference yesterday, Gomez argued that the two countries currently hold an advantage over China in the global competition to commercialise artificial intelligence technologies.
His comments come amid an intensifying international race to develop and deploy AI at scale across industries.
Cohere is one of several Canadian companies working in the generative AI sector, and its leadership has been increasingly vocal about the importance of North America maintaining momentum in AI development and adoption.
