The news: New Zealand fintech startup Hnry secured over $30 million in an oversubscribed Series C raise backed by Movac’s Growth Fund. Hnry says it will use the funds to grow in the Australian and UK markets.
The numbers: Hnry has now raised almost $100 million since its first inception in 2018.
It is used by thousands of Australasian sole traders and is expanding in Australia and the UK as demand surges for tools that automate tax, admin and financial compliance.
What they said: “The new investment will primarily accelerate Hnry’s growth in Australia and the UK, markets that together represent more than five million sole traders,” CEO and co-founder James Fuller said.
