im 19 living in new york building a fintech startup after dropping out of uc berkeley and getting into y Combinator. i started recording clips because most of the real work happens when no one is looking. the late nights the debugging the calls the thinking the constant pressure to grow into the person i need to be. yc showed me what real builders look like and new york pushed me to move with purpose. im still learning every day but this is the most meaningful thing ive ever done. 1. execution is everything. ideas are cool but nothing happens until u sit down and actually build. most progress comes from tiny steps that no one notices. u keep trying the same thing until it finally works. u realize execution is really about discipline and showing up even when u dont feel ready. 2. loneliness is real. even in a city like new york even inside yc even around other founders the journey is mostly in your own head. u wake up thinking about the product and u fall asleep thinking about the risk. u learn to create your own momentum when no one else gets the vision. loneliness teaches u how to trust yourself and that becomes your biggest strength. 3. fintech made me grow up fast. when u deal with money and compliance and partners there is no pretending. u learn things u never expected to study at nineteen. u feel the weight of decisions that affect real people. it feels intense but it forces u to become sharper and more mature than u ever planned. #founder #startuplife #newyorklife #fintech #startup
