The Big Tech Show: Sean Blanchfield’s journey to the top of tech and his new AI startup, Jentic

The Big Tech Show

When Sean Blanchfield set up his first technology company, while still a student at Trinity College, SMS text messages were at the cutting edge. Before too long, himself and fellow founders Dylan Collins and Ronan Perceval would sell that company and each begin careers as stalwarts of the nascent tech scene in Dublin.

It was this student environment and their observation of the playing habits of their peers that inspired Collins and Blanchfield’s next move – creating Demonware, the middleware company that ultimately made remote multiplayer game-playing possible across consoles and continents. So it’s safe to say that Blanchfield is no stranger to anticipating trends in how we adapt to technology and how it will change the world around us.

Adrian Weckler sat down with Sean to chat about Jentic, his latest venture, and the impact he believes AI is already having on society, jobs and even geopolitics.
