Hospital healthcare chain Sukino has raised $31 million in a Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Rainmatter.
The fresh capital will be used to expand Sukino’s footprint across new geographies.
Founded in 2016 by Rajinish Menon and Shalini Menon, Sukino operates in the post-acute and rehabilitative care segment, focusing on structured recovery outside traditional hospital settings.
The firm primarily serves stroke patients, while also catering to neurological, orthopaedic, and oncology rehabilitation needs.
The company currently runs over 850 beds across 11 centres in Bengaluru, Kochi, and Coimbatore. It operates at a group-level profitability and has added five centres over the past year, during which it reported 64% year-on-year growth. Sukino plans to add 22 more centres over the next two years.
The expansion is supported by two structural shifts: wider insurance coverage that now includes rehabilitation for 60–90 days, and growing acceptance of institutional recovery care among Indian families.
