Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has partnered with Trivandrum Engineering Science & Technology (TrEST) Research Park to launch a new incubation program aimed at accelerating innovation in electric mobility. The six-month initiative, called EVolve – EV Innovation Cohort, targets early-stage startups and innovators working across the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.
The program is designed to support founders developing solutions across the full EV value chain. Key focus areas include vehicle design, battery and energy storage technologies, power electronics, charging infrastructure, EV software and connectivity, and circular economy innovations. By covering both hardware and software domains, EVolve aims to encourage well-rounded and scalable solutions for the growing EV market.
Selected startups will receive structured support through technical validation, expert mentorship, and access to industry and academic networks. The incubation journey will help teams refine their products, improve technical performance, and align solutions with real market needs. Participants will also gain exposure to Kerala’s broader innovation ecosystem.
Over the six-month period, startups will work closely with mentors and domain experts to strengthen product readiness and business strategy. The program will conclude with a demo day, where participants will present their innovations to industry leaders, investors, and ecosystem partners. This platform is expected to open doors to funding, partnerships, and commercialization opportunities.

The collaboration brings together KSUM’s strong startup support framework and TrEST Research Park’s deep-tech research capabilities and industry-academia interface. Together, they aim to drive high-impact innovations that support sustainable mobility and contribute to India’s fast-evolving EV landscape.
Applications for the EVolve cohort are now open to innovators, researchers, and startups passionate about electric mobility and allied technologies. The last date to apply is January 27, 2026.
