Week-long Science, Technology and Startup Innovation fest concludes in Dindigul

The week-long ‘Science, Technology and Startup Innovation Fest 2026’ jointly organised by the Dindigul district administration and Professor S.S. Nagarajan Memorial Trust at the MSP School auditorium in Dindigul concluded on Tuesday.

School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi appreciated the students and said the main objective of the science festival was to nurture scientific thinking among students and encourage them. He said that he was truly captivated by how the students explained their project work.

He said the event was a success. A total of 120 stalls and 240 science projects of school students were exhibited at the event. Of these, 40 projects were selected as outstanding innovations. Over one lakh people, including school and college students, and the general public had attended the week-long event, he said.

It was essential for the students to know about their district and its natural resources so that they can come up with innovative ideas to develop the natural resources in large quantities. He wished the students success in their future endeavours.

He added that similar to art festivals that were being conducted in each district, science festivals would also be conducted in all the districts. Dindigul Collector S. Saravanan, Palani MLA I. P. Senthil Kumar and others were present.

Some of the highlights at the Science fest included science exhibition competitions, technical, science and innovation talks, value added programmes such as ISRO Space on Wheels, Live Drone show, online workshop, augmented/virtual reality stalls, road show, mega marathon and cultural events.
