India’s ride-hailing ecosystem is growing fast, but for many commuters and drivers, the experience on the ground still feels broken. Unclean cars, frequent cancellations, unpredictable driver earnings, and rising pollution have become everyday realities in most large cities. Sikhar Fleet, a new electric mobility startup launched by Sanjay Jadoun, former CEO of YoloBus, is stepping in with the aim of changing that.

Launched in Delhi-NCR, Sikhar Fleet is built on a simple idea: electric mobility can only scale if it works equally well for cities, drivers, and customers. While EV adoption has picked up pace, operational discipline and service quality have often lagged behind. Sikhar Fleet wants to bring structure, professionalism, and predictability into a space that has long struggled with inconsistency.

Founded in late 2025, the company operates as a B2B EV Fleet-as-a-Service platform, supplying fully managed electric fleets to ride-hailing companies, enterprises, and logistics players. Instead of just putting vehicles on the road, Sikhar Fleet takes full responsibility for fleet operations — from trained drivers and clean, well-maintained cars to charging access, payouts, and daily performance monitoring.

For customers, this means quieter, cleaner vehicles and fewer cancellations. For drivers, it means something far more basic, but often missing in the sector — stable earnings, timely payments, and dignity at work.

“Electric vehicles alone don’t fix urban mobility,” said Sanjay Jadoun, Co-Founder of Sikhar Fleet. “Drivers are stuck in unpredictable income cycles, customers are frustrated with poor service, and cities are choking on pollution. We built Sikhar Fleet to show that when EVs are backed by disciplined operations and professional fleet management, everyone wins — the environment, the driver, and the customer.”

Operationally, the company has focused on consistency over aggressive expansion. Sikhar Fleet maintains over 95% vehicle uptime, ensuring cars stay on the road and drivers don’t lose income due to breakdowns or poor maintenance. More than 90% of its fleet is already unit-economically profitable, a rarity in a sector often criticised for unsustainable growth.

Early traction has come through its partnership with Rapido, where Sikhar Fleet is an official EV fleet partner in Delhi-NCR. The collaboration is now expanding to additional cities, replacing polluting vehicles with electric alternatives while improving service quality and driver reliability.

For Dharam Jadoun, Co-Founder of Sikhar Fleet, the company’s focus begins with drivers.
“Drivers are the backbone of urban mobility, but they’re often treated as expendable,” he said. “When drivers are paid on time, supported with clean vehicles, and treated with respect, they naturally deliver better service. A driver-first approach isn’t just ethical — it’s operationally smarter.”

At present, Sikhar Fleet operates over 50 electric vehicles and has already signed MOUs for more than 200 additional EVs. Over the next 12 months, the company plans to scale to 1,000+ electric vehicles across multiple cities, targeting high-usage segments such as ride-hailing, corporate transport, urban logistics, and first- and last-mile connectivity.

As it expands beyond Delhi-NCR, Sikhar Fleet is onboarding more drivers, strengthening charging partnerships, and steadily building what it believes India’s EV ecosystem has been missing — a reliable, professional, and people-first mobility backbone.
