Wix launches Harmony: world-first AI website builder | The Jerusalem Post

Israeli giant Wix announced on Wednesday its first AI-focused product, which will allow the creation of websites using AI prompts.

Wix Harmony would allow users not only to design websites in a matter of seconds rather than hours, but also to refine the design via a chatbox with an AI agent.

During a trial video shared by Wix, the company shows how a user creates a website using prompts, and the AI then creates the page, with several sections, even using illustrative pictures.

The assistant, which Wix is calling Aria, will appear next to the website, allowing you to make corrections on the go without new renders or restarting the process.

According to the release video, the tool allows one to “flow naturally between instant generation to pixel level control” over the details in the website.

The tool is not only focused on design; it also allows the generation of interactive elements for websites.

According to NASDAQ data, Wix’s market capitalization dropped from $19 billion in February 2025 to slightly more than $4 billion in January 2026. A one-year comparison shows a 67% decline in its stock price over the last 12 months.

With Harmony, Wix aims to regain confidence and keep pushing towards its goal of becoming the world’s number one website motor.

“My goal and belief is that at this rate of growth, in the next five-seven years, 50% of anything new built on the Internet will be done on Wix,” said Wix CEO and co-founder Avishai Abrahami back in February 2025.

For the time being, WordPress remains the number one worldwide market leader, powering approximately 60% of websites, compared with Wix’s 5%. The new AI tool, aimed at continuing to push on Wix’s beginner-friendly, heavy userbase, seems like a first step to shorten this distance.
