The Indian Postal Department is expected to release the India Post GDS Result 2026 shortly after completing the recruitment process for 28,636 Gramin Dak Sevak posts across the country.
The online application process was conducted from 31 January 2026 to 16 February 2026 for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) posts. The result will be published statewise on the official website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The department will release the first merit list in PDF format on the GDS Online Engagement Portal. Candidates will be able to download the merit list and check their roll numbers once the link is activated.
India Post GDS Result 2026: Release Date and Merit List
There is no official confirmation regarding the exact release date. However, based on previous trends, the merit list is expected anytime from March onwards. The selection will be purely merit based on Class 10 marks. There will be no written examination or interview. Shortlisted candidates will proceed to document verification and medical examination. The merit list will be prepared circle wise and category wise, and additional lists may be issued if vacancies remain.
Candidates will also receive updates through SMS and email on their registered contact details.
