Sumitomo Heavy Forms Tie-Up With Japan Medical Startup Targeting Alzheimer’s

Japanese machinery and equipment maker Sumitomo Heavy 6302 3.46%increase; green up pointing triangle Industries has agreed to a strategic partnership with Sound Wave Innovation, a Tokyo-based startup aiming to cure Alzheimer’s disease with ultrasound therapy.

Sumitomo Heavy has agreed to invest in Sound Wave and to manufacture and distribute the ultrasound device under license, the medical startup said Friday.
