Mumbai, Apr 14 (APAC Media): Brandworks Technologies Private Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MeitY Startup Hub to strengthen India’s deep-tech and AI-driven electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
The partnership aims to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) focused on nurturing next-generation startups in artificial intelligence and advanced electronics.
Under the agreement, both entities will co-develop a national innovation platform to support startups operating at the intersection of AI, smart manufacturing, and advanced electronics. The initiative seeks to bridge critical gaps in hardware product development by integrating design-for-manufacturability (DFM), rapid prototyping, and validation frameworks.
The collaboration will leverage Brandworks’ robust operational infrastructure, including two R&D centres, over 3.2 lakh sq. ft. of manufacturing space, 55 assembly lines, and advanced Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) capabilities. This integrated ecosystem is expected to help startups accelerate their journey from concept to market-ready products.
Startups selected under the program will gain access to end-to-end support, including product engineering, testing and certification facilities, and mentorship aligned with industry requirements. The Centre of Excellence will run structured, cohort-based acceleration programs aimed at streamlining innovation cycles and enabling faster commercialisation.
Speaking on the partnership, Ishwar Kumhar said the initiative is designed to address the gap between innovation and execution in India’s electronics sector. He emphasised that providing startups with access to design, R&D, and manufacturing capabilities will enable them to scale real-world products more efficiently.
The collaboration is also expected to foster global partnerships, facilitate technology transfer, and create a pipeline of high-potential deep-tech ventures. By bringing together industry, academia, and government stakeholders, the initiative aims to position India as a global hub for AI-led electronics and advanced manufacturing systems.
