- U.S. digital health startups raised $7.4 billion across 244 deals in the first half of 2026, surpassing last year’s $6.4 billion on about as many deals. This year, Q2 accounted for $3.2 billion of that total, shy of Q1’s $4.2 billion, but not far off from last year’s second quarter of $3.4 billion
- Western Governors University partnered with Anthropic to develop what WGU President Scott Pulsipher describes as an “AI-native model for learning and credentialing,” focused on helping learners build skills for a changing labor market. The partnership will focus on systems that can identify skills required by emerging jobs, personalize learning around those skills, verify them through skills-based digital credentials and connect learners with career opportunities

- Chai Discovery, which develops artificial intelligence models and software for protein engineering and molecular design, raised $400 million from Index Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, Dimension, and others
- AdvanCell, a clinical-stage radiopharmaceutical company developing targeted alpha therapies for cancer, raised a $315 million Series D financing led by Ally Bridge Group and co-led by Alpha Wave, alongside new investors Bain Capital Life Sciences, Fidelity Management & Research Company, funds and accounts advised by T. - Gaia Learning, an online platform is dedicated to ensuring neurodivergent children have access to learning environments that understand and support their individual needs, raised a £400,000 equity investment round from GC Angels, NESTA and a syndicate of angel investors
- Sortmyprep, an AI-powered, adaptive exam preparation platform designed specifically for students, raised $350,000 in a pre-seed funding round from Boman Irani, Sameer Mehta, Subrat Pani, Rohini Kasturi, and Ranjit Pawar

- Evidenced, a venture firm founded on the thesis that regulation and policy create market openings rather than just risk, closed Fund I at $24 million. Investors include the Rockefeller Foundation, RockCreek Group, and Colibri Equity Ventures, alongside individual LPs spanning government, healthcare delivery, technology, and the payer ecosystem
