Lattu.ai, a free artificial intelligence-based platform, has been launched by Bangladeshi tech startup Zeffer Labs for Bangladeshi students interested in pursuing higher education abroad. The platform aims to provide essential information on admission, scholarships, costs and application procedures for foreign universities in one place.
Lattu.ai initially features information on nearly 3,000 universities across more than 18 countries, study opportunities in over 800 subjects, and more than 100 international scholarships. Students can find details on admission requirements, potential costs, application deadlines, housing and other necessary information for higher education.
One of the platform’s key features is the ‘AI Journey Planner’. It analyses a student’s academic results, preferences, budget and future goals to create a personalised higher education plan. Additionally, ‘Country Explorer’ allows comparison of education systems, costs and application procedures across different countries. The ‘Scholarship Hub’ helps find scholarships based on eligibility, and the ‘Application Tracker’ monitors the progress of applications sent to various universities.
The platform also includes a community forum for students to exchange experiences and information. It offers updates on changing visa policies and regulations. This creates an opportunity to access information on various stages of preparation for studying abroad in one place.
Palash Mahmud, co-founder of Zeffer Labs and a software engineer with experience at Microsoft, said students often have to gather information from multiple sources to plan for higher education and research at foreign universities. Lattu.ai was created to simplify the process by bringing essential information together.
The entrepreneurs said a significant number of Bangladeshi students go abroad for higher education each year. However, students and parents often face confusion due to a lack of reliable information on university and subject selection, scholarship opportunities, potential costs and application procedures. The initiative aims to address this problem by bringing information and AI-based guidance onto a single platform. The service can be accessed for free through the Lattu.ai website and mobile app.
