Noida, 28 August 2026 — ABP Education, the education arm of the ABP Group, has invested in AI.YoLearn Private Limited, the Noida-based startup that operates voice-first AI tutoring platform YoLearn.ai. Alongside the capital, ABP Education will bring its content, marketing and distribution engine behind the company’s mission of providing personalized AI tutoring to 250 million K-12 students in India.
The investment marks one of the first instances of a large Indian publishing house taking a direct equity position in an AI tutoring company, rather than signing a distribution arrangement alone. Under commercial collaboration agreements signed separately with ABP Group companies Headword Publishing and KIPS Learning, YoLearn.ai’s technology will convert their school books into Headword.ai and kipslearning.ai — content-aligned personal AI tutors accessed directly from the very books students already follow in class.
The alliance spans a combined network of approximately 25,000 schools with potential access to nearly 100 million learners. The partners have set a long-term mission of empowering 150 million students and training over 1,50,000 teachers in AI-enabled classroom instruction — building towards personalized AI learning for all 250 million K-12 students in the country.
What the money and the muscle buy
Beyond capital, ABP Education is committing marketing support across its school network — the distribution layer edtech companies in India have historically had to buy at high cost. For YoLearn.ai, it converts a school-by-school sales motion into a catalogue-led one: every book in the Headword and KIPS line-up becomes an entry point to the product.

TEACHERS TO BE TRAINED
Founded in January 2025 and headquartered in Noida, YoLearn.ai is led by a founding team of IITians under Founder & CEO Kirti Prakash Mishra (IIT BHU). Its platform lets a student open a book, scan a code and simply talk — asking doubts aloud in English, Hindi or their own regional language, across 22 Indian languages. The AI tutor answers by voice while drawing diagrams and step-by-step solutions live on an interactive sketchpad; it also generates unlimited practice tests evaluated against board marking patterns, predicts scores and keeps parents informed — across CBSE, ICSE and state boards.
Teachers get a Co-Teacher Avatar configured to their own teaching style, alongside 50+ AI teaching assistant tools — lesson planners, worksheet and homework generators, assessment builders, activity designers, quiz creators and classroom presentation generators. School administrators get a dashboard with consolidated, real-time reporting on learning outcomes, weak areas, usage and progress across the institution.
The company is an NVIDIA Inception member, a pre-seed funded startup backed by strategic and institutional investors, and a YourStory Tech30 2025 company. The platforms are built privacy-first and child-safe: student data hosted in India, voice audio processed in real time and never stored, zero advertising, verified parental consent before account activation under the DPDP Act 2023, and human review of AI evaluations. Headword.ai and kipslearning.ai will roll out with the 2026-27 academic session on web, Android and iOS.

A legacy built on publishing, now betting on AI
ABP Education is the education arm of the ABP Group, founded in 1922 and today one of India’s largest media conglomerates, with premier publications, national television news channels and digital properties reaching millions of Indians daily. Through Headword Publishing and KIPS Learning, it serves schools across CBSE, ICSE and state boards nationwide.
Its stated aim with this investment is a personal AI tutor for every student — complete after-school learning support, delivered in the student’s own language, through content the school has already adopted. For a group whose business has been print for a century, the move reframes the textbook itself as a channel for teaching, not just for content.
“The next generation of educational publishing will not simply deliver content. It will deliver personalized learning experiences. Over a hundred years, our group has earned the trust of Indian families. With YoLearn.ai, we are converting that trust into something no generation of students has had before — a personal teacher for every child, inside the very books their schools already follow.” — Mr. Yash Mehta, CEO, ABP Education
“For decades, educational publishers distributed knowledge. Together, we’re enabling them to distribute personalized teaching. ABP choosing to invest, not just collaborate, tells the industry that the AI layer for Indian education is being built now — and it is being built here, in India, for India.”
— Kirti Prakash Mishra, Founder & CEO, YoLearn.ai
