The latest funding will be deployed to expand its presence across India, including an entry into Andhra Pradesh.

Healthtech startup CureBay has raised around INR 100 Cr ($10.6 Mn) in a pre-Series C funding round led by IvyCap Ventures

The round comprises INR 69 crore in equity from IvyCap Ventures and existing investors, along with over INR 30 crore in debt from Trifecta Capital, Alteria Capital and VentureSoul Partners.

The latest funding will be deployed to expand its presence across India, including an entry into Andhra Pradesh.

The Odisha-based startup also plans to strengthen its technology and artificial intelligence capabilities to improve health screening, patient insights and clinical decision-making.

Founded in 2021 by Priyadarshi Mohapatra, Shobhan Mahapatra and Sanjay Swain, CureBay operates a network of technology-enabled clinics that provide healthcare services in underserved areas.

It offers services including doctor consultations, medicines, diagnostic tests, surgery facilitation, and annual health memberships.

It operates a six-layer rural healthcare system that combines physical clinics, a community health worker network, a digital platform, AI-powered screening, a 24/7 command centre, and CureBay Kavach.

The startup is also investing in GPUs and training AI models to screen patients and assess health risks. Its existing AI products cover areas such as skin conditions, dental health, and haemoglobin screening, with plans to expand these capabilities.

It further aims to grow its network of rural clinics from 250 to 800 over the next two to three years.

“We have a full suite of AI products for areas like skin, dental, and haemoglobin. We will keep adding more products and continue investing in width as well as depth,” CureBay Co-founder Priyadarshi Mohapatra said.

Currently, the startup operates over 250 clinics across several states, including Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Bihar, supported by more than 1,800 Swasthya Mitras, 530 trained clinical staff, 230 doctor partners, and over 210 partner hospitals and laboratories.

It has reportedly served more than 17 lakh patients and conducts over 400 health camps every month.

The startup also works with the government on healthcare delivery initiatives and has been named the healthcare partner for Samriddhi Kendra, a Government of India initiative.

Prior to this round, CureBay had raised over $21 million in Series B from investors including Bertelsmann India Investments, British International Investment, and Elevar Equity.
