The Rock League unveiled the curling rosters and team names on Tuesday in preparation for its debut in April 2026.
The Curling Group, which owns the newest professional mixed curling team league, also announced the general managers who will lead each team throughout its inaugural season.
The multi-format competition will feature six global franchises. Ottawa’s Rachel Homan and Brad Jacobs of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., will captain separate Canadian teams.
Both will also skip their respective Canadian squads at February’s Olympic Winter Games in Italy.
The original six franchises include two from Canada — Maple United and Shield Curling Club — USA’s Frontier Curling Club, two in Europe and one from Asia-Pacific.
Each roster features five women and five men, which gives the Rock League the “world’s first truly mixed-gender professional sports league,” according to the Curling Group.
“Building these rosters was an opportunity to showcase the incredible depth and diversity of curling talent around the world,” said Canadian curling great and Rock League advisor Jennifer Jones.
“Our goal was to create teams that are competitive, entertaining, and reflective of their home regions, while also ensuring a level playing field for the league’s first season. We believe these lineups set the foundation for an exciting new era in our sport.”
