Tom Brady has announced his latest business venture after becoming the new face of a digital health startup that helps companies manage the costs of weight-loss drugs for employees.
The legendary NFL quarterback, who is worth an astonishing $350million, is the new chief wellness officer of employer-sponsored health management company eMed, which moved into the weight-loss space last year.
In his new role, Brady will also serve on the board of directors while helping eMed stand out from the crowd amid a fierce battle with rival telehealth companies for patients.
‘There are a lot of companies out there, but eMed stood out because they’re building something different; high-quality care, best-in-class service, top practitioners, all focused on prevention and long term health,’ he told Bloomberg News.
‘That’s what I care about. I want to be part of something that could really help people.’
Millions of people have turned to GLP-1s weight-loss drugs in recent years, which mimic a hormone that makes people feel full and eat less.

In the US, employers typically decide whether or not to cover the drugs for employees. According to a recent survey by KFF, via Bloomberg, roughly 43 percent of companies with over 5,000 workers cover the weight-loss medications, with costs cited as the common reason for not doing so.
Brady’s new partners offer cost management solutions for those employers, with eMed members reportedly having a more than 90 percent adherence to their medications.
It is also said to offer a monthly $139 subscription for those who want to connect with a doctor and get a prescription for weight-loss drug Wegovy or a new pill version that recently launched.
‘Everyone deserves access to information and treatments that support their health,’ Brady added. ‘eMed’s not just offering meds — they’re offering a full program, a real shot at long-term change.’
The seven-time Super Bowl winner, who has promoted his notoriously strict ‘TB12’ diet for years, declined to comment on whether he’s tried one of the drugs himself.
Brady recently came under fire from fans after starring in a new commercial for Pizza Hut, despite preaching about avoiding fast food and maintaining an extremely health diet for years.
Brady was recently blasted by fans for ‘selling his soul’ after starring in a new Pizza Hut ad
In the hilarious ad, he is seen knocking on doors and calling out ‘pizza’ before the ‘hut’ when delivering pies like he once did at the line of scrimmage, with an old lady brutally sacking him at one stage.
One user posted on X: ’10 years ago Tom Brady only ate spirulina and avocado ice cream and called soda “poison for kids.” Now he’s doing commercials for Pizza Hut’.
Another commented: ‘It is a pretty sharp turn from the man who used to preach the “TB12 Method” like it was gospel.’
A third asked: ‘I thought Tom Brady doesn’t eat tomatoes?’
‘Selling your soul takes different forms,’ concluded a fourth.
‘He already sold out. Now he’s doubling down,’ said a fifth.
While one simply put: ‘Money talks’.
