There was a time when we knew we were under constant surveillance, but could sleep easy at the thought of safety under the chaotic noise of an entire population’s data. This is no longer true: with AI technology at its current level, and massive data centers being built constantly, we should be aware that our every action is neatly sorted and categorized. I made this video as a silly way to demonstrate this, but it’s not only text messages we should worry about: they can be integrated with data from our phone’s GPS, search and purchase history, public cameras and facial recognition, painting an overwhelmingly full picture of our lives to those who watch – we have come to a point where the watchers may know us better than we know ourselves.
