Chuncheon Future Cooperation Foundation’s Middle-aged Technology Start-up Center received an A grade in the “2025 Operation Performance Evaluation of General Centers for Specialized Regional Start-ups” organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Startup and Child Care Association.
The foundation announced on the 4th that it has obtained an excellent grade of A for two consecutive years following 2024 in this evaluation of 20 centers nationwide.
Major achievements in 2025 include △ sales of 2.9 billion won for tenant companies △ creation of 32 new employees △ 43 applications and registrations for intellectual property rights △ 36 projects supported by the government and local governments, securing a total of 16 billion won in business expenses and recording practical growth indicators. This is evaluated as a meaningful achievement in strengthening the competitiveness of middle-aged technology start-ups and revitalizing the local economy.
The Middle-Aged Technology Start-up Center, which opened in 2021, provides one-stop start-up support services such as providing occupancy space, hands-on start-up education, mentoring experts, and support for optional commercialization for middle-aged and early start-ups aged 40 or older. In particular, it is systematically supporting business stabilization and mitigating initial risks of start-ups through a customized support system for each stage of growth.
The achievement of A grade for the second consecutive year is a meaningful achievement that confirms that the experiences and capabilities of middle-aged people can lead to new growth potential in the region beyond simple evaluation, said Shin Yong-joon, chairman of the foundation.
The foundation plans to expand customized support for middle-aged and early founders, and strengthen effectiveness-oriented support that increases the likelihood of successful start-ups through cooperation with local related organizations.
