Nursing exam preparation startup Nprep has raised $1.5 million in seed funding from venture capital firm Lumikai.

Founded by Prince Kaushik, Utkarsh Paliwal and Gourav Khurana, all alumni of AIIMS Jodhpur, the startup offers a video-first learning platform aimed at candidates preparing for nursing entrance exams and government healthcare roles.

“We will use the funding to scale up our AI-powered learning platform, expand exam-focused content, and reach more nursing candidates across India preparing for government and global healthcare roles,” said Kaushik.

India has one of the world’s largest nursing workforces, with more than 3.3 million registered nurses and midwives, with over 200,000 graduates entering the workforce each year. Thousands of candidates also compete annually for government nursing entrance examinations, creating strong demand for exam preparation platforms.

“Preparation for these exams continues to be dominated by offline coaching centres and static resources such as PDFs and recorded lectures, leaving limited access to personalised preparation tools,” Kaushik added.

Nprep claims to address this gap through an AI-powered, video-first platform that provides personalised study plans, exam-focused practice questions and adaptive learning paths.
