Rodilab, a college student start-up team that started from Gachon University’s start-up club Enactus, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hana Hearing, a brand specializing in hearing aids, to introduce “hearing door-to-door management and digital education services” on the 6th.
LodiLab is a senior digital education-based startup that opened its official web page in September last year and has begun full-scale service operation, and provides senior-customized digital education services using AI-based education and behavioral data management systems (LDMS).
Co-founders Kang Se-young (third year of the Department of Computer Engineering) and Kim Jung-hyun (graduated from the Department of Korean Language and Literature) are participating, led by Kim Min-seo (third year of the Department of Tourism Management).
With this agreement, Lodi Lab will participate as a visiting care partner of Hana Haring and provide customized visiting services such as △ hearing device management △ application interworking and utilization inspection △ smartphone education to customers. Satisfaction and usage data collected in the service process are transmitted to Hana Hearing.
Hana Hearing is in charge of promoting visiting care services and linking customers, and plans to increase operational efficiency by distributing tasks with a high proportion of visits to the center through hearing aid management and Bluetooth linkage.
The two companies aim to expand the service to centers in the Seoul metropolitan area and expand the service to branches nationwide next year after conducting beta tests for customers at the Hanahearing Gangnam headquarters for two months from this month to May.
The formal service will be operated for a fee, and new customers can choose visiting care services when purchasing hearing aids, and existing customers can apply by phone or by visiting the center.
Since March last year, Lodi Lab has collaborated with Seongnam Sanseong Welfare Center, Jungwon Senior Welfare Center, and Yatap Youth Center to provide digital education to 50 seniors, and has achieved 4.8 points in educational satisfaction and an average improvement in digital capabilities of 2.5 levels.
Hana Hearing is a brand specializing in hearing aid sales, hearing services, and follow-up management. As of this year, it operates a total of 38 centers, including nine directly managed and 29 affiliated companies nationwide. It provides services based on more than 420,000 cases of hearing loss counseling and 12-step counseling and fitting protocols.
“The collaboration with Hana Hearing started with a common goal of supporting digital independence for seniors,” said Kim Min-seo, CEO of Lodi Lab. “We will provide personalized education services that are friendly and meticulous like grandchildren at the closest so that hearing device users can enjoy a convenient life without difficulty in using digital devices.”
