Sparklabs, the Seoul-based startup accelerator, has invested in AvoLabs, the company behind Aboringo, an AI-powered English education platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded by Turkish-American entrepreneur Deniz Albayrak, AvoLabs develops AI-driven tools designed to reduce the administrative burden on teachers and improve classroom efficiency. The company’s core technology combines proprietary algorithms with automation to support the full scope of digital classroom management.
Its flagship product, Aboringo, goes beyond simple content delivery — it generates customized assignments based on materials and curricula uploaded by teachers, calibrated to each student’s level and learning goals. The platform also automates grading and feedback, while an integrated dashboard provides real-time progress tracking, achievement analytics, and individualized growth reports, giving educators a comprehensive view of each student’s development.
AvoLabs has already deployed Aboringo across educational institutions in South Korea, Turkey, Germany, and Malaysia, demonstrating strong early traction in global markets. In March 2025, the startup was named the top-ranked startup at the Phase-3 showcase of the K-Startup Grand Challenge (KSGC) 2025, a program organized by Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation.
With this investment, AvoLabs plans to accelerate its expansion across Asian markets where demand for English education is high, while also developing multilingual capabilities to broaden the platform’s reach.

Sparklabs has been running the K-Startup Grand Challenge program since 2024, identifying high-potential startups and following up with direct investment in companies including Polymerize, Pierro Company, and AvoLabs. The accelerator has also been expanding its global footprint through inbound and outbound programs with the Middle East, supporting foreign startups entering Korea and Korean startups going global.
