Anthropic has introduced Claude Design, a new tool that allows users to collaborate with its AI assistant to create visual work, including prototypes, slides, wireframes, and marketing materials, according to a company announcement.
The tool is powered by Claude Opus 4.7, described as Anthropic’s most capable vision model, and is available in research preview for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers.
According to Anthropic, Claude Design enables users to describe what they need and receive a first version, which can then be refined through conversation, inline comments, direct edits, or custom adjustment sliders generated by Claude. Teams can also upload their design system during onboarding, allowing the tool to automatically apply company colours, typography, and components to every project.
The tool supports imports from text prompts, uploaded images and documents including DOCX, PPTX, and XLSX files, or directly from a codebase. A web capture feature allows users to pull elements from existing websites so prototypes resemble the actual product.
Use cases cited by Anthropic include interactive prototypes from static mockups, product wireframes for feature flows, design explorations across multiple directions, pitch decks exportable as PPTX or to Canva, and marketing collateral such as landing pages and social media assets. The company also noted support for code powered prototypes incorporating voice, video, shaders, and 3D elements.
Designs can be shared within an organisation via URL, with options for view only or edit access. Exports are available to Canva, PDF, PPTX, or standalone HTML files. A handoff bundle feature packages completed designs for use with Claude Code.
For Enterprise customers, Claude Design is disabled by default and must be enabled by administrators in organisation settings. Usage is included in existing subscription plans and counts toward regular limits, with an option to continue beyond those limits by enabling extra usage.
