A Shark Tank startup to take pickleball out of courts and into your homes

Bengaluru-based sports-tech and gaming startup MetaShot has partnered with NSE-listed Yudiz Solutions to launch what the companies describe as the world’s first smart pickleball game for MetaShot’s motion gaming console.

The partnership marks the first time MetaShot has opened its proprietary motion gaming platform and software development kits to an outside game development studio. The company, which appeared on Shark Tank India, has built its business around combining real-world sports movements with virtual gameplay experiences.

The move comes after MetaShot posted 115% year-on-year revenue growth in FY26. The company is now attempting to turn itself into a wider platform ecosystem that can support third-party developers, studios and sports gaming experiences.

The smart pickleball title has been developed exclusively for the MetaShot platform by Yudiz Solutions. The game is scheduled to launch in the United States in the third quarter of FY26 before arriving in India later. According to the companies, the integration process was completed in record time, which they say demonstrates how external studios can build motion-led gaming experiences on MetaShot’s technology stack.

The launch is also part of a broader platform strategy being pursued by MetaShot. The company said more third-party partnerships, additional sports titles and a developer funding programme are already being planned.

The announcement follows strong traction for MetaShot’s cricket game, which has crossed 5 million completed matches. The company says the numbers reflect growing consumer interest in gaming experiences that combine physical sporting actions with interactive digital gameplay.
“This collaboration represents a larger shift in gaming, where studios can now build experiences that combine real-world movement with connected gameplay at scale. Pickleball is the first step, and we’re excited about the possibilities this opens up for future sports and interactive experiences globally,” said Chirag Leuva, CEO, Yudiz Solutions.“Our partnership and the opportunity to open the MetaShot platform to Yudiz Solutions is a significant moment for us as a company,” said Prince Thomas.

He said the company had spent the last few years building and validating its platform through cricket, and described the Yudiz collaboration as the first real example of third-party studios creating entirely new experiences on top of MetaShot’s motion gaming ecosystem.

“Pickleball felt like the perfect category to begin with given its global momentum and community-driven appeal. This is the start of MetaShot becoming a larger platform for sports gaming innovation,” he added.

The launch also targets the rapidly expanding global pickleball market. Industry estimates suggest the sport now has more than 50 million players worldwide. The global pickleball market is projected to grow from $2.2 billion in 2024 to $9.1 billion by 2034, at a compound annual growth rate of 15.3%.

India has also seen a sharp rise in interest around the sport. Active pickleball players in the country have increased nearly 300% over the last three years, while the number of courts has grown between 10 and 12 times across the country.

As MetaShot pushes its platform ambitions globally, the company said it plans to work with more outside studios and developers to bring additional sports titles, gaming formats and immersive experiences onto its motion gaming ecosystem.
