Round Rock healthcare startup wins Chamber pitch competition

The Round Rock Chamber held an expanded version of its startup competition in May, with Imagine Devices, a medical device company, taking home the $10,000 prize.

The details

Of the six companies that participated in the “Shark Tank”-like pitching competition, two businesses were geared toward the health care industry.

About the businesses

Imagine Devices, led by Iman Salafian, Ph.D., PMP, pitched the development of the Trinity Tube, a multifunctional feeding tube that provides enteral feeding, internal vital signs and respiratory pressure monitoring all in one device.

Longhorn Life Sciences, led by Miles Massidda, Ph.D., pitched iDetect, a wearable wound sensor that flags surgical infections before a patient begins presenting symptoms, according to the chamber.
