Fintech firm Angel One has appointed Ajit Narayanan as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), as the company sharpens its focus on artificial intelligence, platform scalability and next-generation digital infrastructure to support future growth.
Narayanan, who brings more than 25 years of experience across consumer internet, e-commerce, digital healthcare and enterprise technology, will lead Angel One’s engineering organisation and oversee platform architecture, scalability, performance and technology execution.
The appointment comes at a time when financial services firms are increasingly investing in AI-driven platforms to improve customer experiences, automate operations and build more intelligent financial products.
In his new role, Narayanan will focus on strengthening the company’s technology foundations, integrating AI-led intelligence across critical systems and building resilient, high-performance platforms capable of supporting millions of users.
The leadership transition is part of a broader technology realignment at Angel One. As part of the change, Ravish Sinha will move from his current position as Group Chief Product and Technology Officer to an individual technologist role within the office of the Group CEO.
“We are at an inflection point where technology and AI are reshaping how financial products are delivered to a billion Indians,” said Ambarish Kenghe. He added that Narayanan’s experience in building large-scale technology platforms would help the company deepen its AI capabilities while delivering secure and seamless customer experiences.
The appointment underscores how fintech companies are increasingly positioning technology leadership as a strategic growth lever rather than a support function. As digital investing platforms compete for scale, firms are investing heavily in cloud-native architectures, AI-driven personalisation and data-led decision-making.
Before joining Angel One, Narayanan led technology for supply chain and commercial platforms at Reliance Retail. He previously served as Chief Technology and Product Officer at Licious, where he led the modernisation of customer and operational platforms using data and AI.
He was also the co-founder of MFine, helping build one of India’s early AI-powered digital healthcare platforms. Earlier, as CTO of Myntra, he played a key role in scaling the company’s technology infrastructure and deploying machine learning across personalisation, pricing and demand forecasting.
Narayanan also held leadership positions at SAP, where he contributed to the development of cloud integration and API management platforms used by enterprises globally.
His appointment signals Angel One’s intention to accelerate its AI and platform engineering agenda as it seeks to build scalable, intelligent financial services infrastructure for the next phase of India’s digital investing growth.
