Thiruvananthapuram-based Genrobotic Innovations Pvt Ltd has led a ₹1 crore seed funding round for Estro Tech Robotics, a deep-tech startup specializing in robotics and AIoT solutions.This investment establishes a strategic collaboration, combining Genrobotics’ expertise in advanced robotics with Estro Tech’s capabilities in automation and intelligent systems.The funding highlights a growing trend within Kerala’s startup ecosystem, where established successful ventures are beginning to nurture and support the next generation of technology entrepreneurs.Anoop Ambika, CEO of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), noted that this investment reflects the ecosystem’s increasing maturity, enabling startups to access capital, industry expertise, mentorship, and market opportunities.Founded in 2020 by engineering graduates Christo Varghese, Christo Kollannur, Rahul Vincent, and Bonsto Wilson, Estro Tech Robotics initially gained recognition for developing India’s first UV Sterilising Robot.The company later expanded into retail technology with RobAd, an interactive robotic in-store advertising platform that combines robotics, motion, light, sound, and AI-powered analytics.With the newly raised capital, Estro Tech plans to accelerate the development and commercialisation of next-generation infrastructure technologies.These solutions are designed to address critical challenges in utility and urban infrastructure management, including advanced inspection robotics for underground networks and AI-powered sewer line monitoring systems.The company aims to provide continuous monitoring with predictive intelligence platforms.The partnership is expected to provide Estro Tech with product development guidance, market access, and strategic mentorship as it expands its focus.Vimal Govind M K, CEO of Genrobotics, stated that supporting emerging deep-tech innovators is a responsibility, drawing parallels to Genrobotics’ own journey within the Kerala ecosystem.Estro Tech will also continue scaling its RobAd platform across domestic and international markets, while strengthening its research and development capabilities. The Thrissur-headquartered startup operates from Infopark Koratty and has established international distribution partnerships in Nigeria, Botswana, Qatar, and South Korea.
