Discuss technical cooperation with Naver security organization as well
Naver D2SF, Naver’s startup investment organization, announced on the 10th that it has newly invested in artificial intelligence (AI) security startup Am Intelligence.
Aim Intelligence is a startup that develops security technologies that help companies safely utilize AI. It provides red team solutions that preemptively detect security vulnerabilities through attack scenarios and guardrail solutions that prevent misuse of AI services.
Naver D2SF decided to invest in Aim Intelligence, believing that the demand for security technologies such as AI safety verification and control will also increase as AI spreads rapidly in the corporate field.
Aim Intelligence has also participated in model safety projects of global AI companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta, and attracted 10 billion won worth of Series A investment in April this year.
Naver D2SF is believed to have made strategic investments after the Series A round of AM Intelligence. Not only Naver D2SF but also LG Electronics and Hyundai Motor participated in this strategic investment.
Aim Intelligence is a team with research, product development, and business capabilities in AI safety, and Naver D2SF previously discovered Aim Intelligence through a campus technology start-up contest in the first half of 2024 and participated in this investment through incubation.
Along with the investment, Naver is also discussing ways to collaborate with AM Intelligence for Naver security technology. Yang Sang-hwan, head of Naver’s D2SF Center, said, “Aime Intelligence has quickly commercialized practical AI security solutions that cover all cycles, and is also discussing cooperation with Naver’s security organization to implement safe AI.”
An official from Aim Intelligence said, “We are working on practical business collaborations beyond simple financial investments with participants in this round. We are jointly developing physical AI security solutions with LG Electronics and conducting product demonstration with Hyundai Motor Group’s open innovation platform Zero One Ventures.”
“Aime Intelligence will grow into an AI security infrastructure company that supports safe development, verification, and operation of Generative AI, agent AI, and physical AI,” said Yoo Sang-yoon, CEO of Aime Intelligence.
