SEIIM Secures Investment from CNT Tech to Expand AI-Driven Industrial Safety Platform - WOWTALE

SEIIM, a Korean AI SaaS company specializing in industrial safety, has secured an investment from CNT Tech. CNT Tech is supporting SEIIM’s business model development and investment readiness through its Smart Construction Startup Accelerating and Open Innovation program.

Founded in 2021, SEIIM develops and operates safety management ERP software designed to help companies comply with Korea’s Serious Accidents Punishment Act, along with AI tools that generate safety documentation and training content. Its core offerings include the AI safety assistant SAFE BUDDY, the AI safety and health education system SAFE EDU, and an integrated safety dashboard for smart construction sites.

SAFE BUDDY digitizes and standardizes routine safety management tasks — including risk assessments, safety budget management, safety inspections, safety education, meeting minutes, e-signatures, worker safety proposals, and semiannual compliance checks — and supplies more than 60 mandatory safety document templates tailored to different industries and company sizes, kept current with the latest regulations. The platform runs on a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system trained on industrial safety laws, manuals, and client-specific guidelines, letting its AI assistant automatically draft and recommend safety documents based on each client’s on-site conditions.

SEIIM counts Hyundai Engineering & Construction, DL E&C, RSquare Design, Shinil, the Korea Institute of Water Resources Survey and Technology, and CHM among its clients, giving it early traction in construction and manufacturing site management, safety upkeep for large buildings, and public-sector safety management. Its multiyear collaboration with Hyundai Engineering & Construction — built around proof-of-concept testing and field validation — has been cited as a model case of cooperation between a large corporation and a startup.

In 2025, SEIIM earned Grade 1 GS certification for SAFE BUDDY, won top honors at the 2025 Smart Construction EXPO startup competition, and received a commendation from the Korea Construction Safety Society presented by a member of the National Assembly. In 2026, the company was selected for the K-StartHub (SVC) resident program and for the Seoul-region R&D track of the Steppingstone Startup Growth Technology Development Program, as it continues to refine its products and expand into new markets.

With the new investment, SEIIM plans to expand on-site adoption of SAFE BUDDY and SAFE EDU and enhance features such as automated AI document drafting. The company hopes its solutions will help small and midsize workplaces in Korea and abroad build smart safety management systems, freeing safety and health officers from office paperwork so they can spend more time ensuring proper on-site safety management.

Hwasung Jeon, CEO of CNT Tech, said SEIIM is a team with the execution capability to connect safety documentation, training, inspections, e-signatures, and evidence management into a single AI-powered workflow. He added that the company has significant potential to meaningfully improve safety management in high-risk sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and facilities management, well beyond mere compliance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
