Traveltech startup 30 Sundays has raised ₹61 Cr (about $6.7 Mn) in a Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Info Edge Ventures and Eximius Ventures.
The Gurugram-based startup said it would use the fresh capital to strengthen its AI product capabilities, expand its engineering team, invest in brand building, and enter new international markets, including Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Philippines. It has also recently launched offerings for New Zealand and Mauritius.
Founded in 2024 by Kshitij Chaudhary, Anuj Punjani and Sumit Mishra, 30 Sundays is an AI-native, full-stack holiday planning and booking platform for outbound Indian travellers. It previously raised $770K in a pre-seed round in 2024.
The startup handles end-to-end travel operations, including discovery, itinerary planning, booking and on-trip support, through a video-first, conversational interface and an in-app AI concierge. Users can modify itineraries through voice commands, while the platform also surfaces information such as expected crowds, travel times, queue lengths and food options to help travellers plan their trips better.
At present, the startup is primarily targeting couples seeking curated, experience-led holidays, with plans to expand into adjacent customer segments, beginning with families.
30 Sundays said AI powers multiple parts of its operations, including lead qualification, itinerary creation, follow-ups and reservations, helping its sales team become twice as productive as leading competitors and three times as productive as traditional travel agents.
As a result, it claims to have reached an annualised gross booking value run-rate of about ₹200 Cr across four destinations — Bali, Vietnam, Maldives and Thailand.
The fundraise comes amid sustained investor interest in India’s traveltech sector as outbound leisure travel continues to recover. Increasingly, startups are using AI to personalise itinerary planning, customer support and booking workflows in an attempt to differentiate themselves from conventional online travel agencies.
30 Sundays competes with players such as TravelTriangle, Pickyourtrail, TripFactory, ixigo and Tripoto. Its core proposition lies in building an AI-native travel planning platform rather than layering AI features onto existing OTA workflows.
