SAP Labs India has hosted the latest edition of SAP Startup Social, bringing together startups, enterprises, investors, policymakers and technology ecosystem leaders to support the adoption of enterprise AI and deep technologies.
The Bengaluru event was supported by the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission, Nasscom and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.
Representatives from companies including AWS, Google, McKinsey, Shell, Capgemini and Accenture participated in the event, along with investors from Chiratae Ventures, Celesta Capital and Bluehill Capital. The participants represented sectors such as manufacturing, banking and financial services, energy, oil and gas, consulting, global capability centers and venture capital.
From AI Innovation To Enterprise Deployment
A key focus of the event was the SAP Startup Studio Cohort 2026, comprising 16 startups working across enterprise AI, agentic systems, robotics, industrial intelligence, quantum-safe cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, sustainable manufacturing and enterprise automation.
The cohort includes ANSCER Robotics, Oorja, Vizionsys Technologies, Astrikos, Drishya AI, Endee Labs, Grevoro, Quanfluence, QNu Labs, FUSKI AI, Ardent Privacy, Neoflo, SaarthiOS, Perceptory AI Labs, SecuAI and Pulse Energy.
Under SAP’s six-month open innovation accelerator, the startups work with the company’s product, engineering and domain teams to develop and validate solutions for complex enterprise requirements.
The program is intended to help participating startups move beyond early-stage technology development by providing access to enterprise customers, technical expertise, business mentorship and potential commercialization opportunities.
During SAP Startup Social, the cohort companies demonstrated their solutions through dedicated innovation pods and interacted with enterprise customers, investors and industry representatives.
Why Scaling Enterprise AI Remains Difficult
Building an AI model or an enterprise technology product is only one part of the startup journey. Deploying it within a large organization typically requires integration with existing applications, access to relevant business data, security and governance controls, domain expertise and the ability to demonstrate measurable business value.
SAP Startup Social seeks to address this gap by connecting startups with companies that could potentially test, adopt or co-develop their technologies.
Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director of SAP Labs India and President of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, said meaningful innovation requires emerging technologies to be connected with real business contexts.
“Scaling enterprise AI requires much more than powerful models. It requires trusted business data, deep process expertise, strong governance and intelligence embedded into the applications and workflows people use every day,” Gangadharan said.
She added that the 2026 Startup Studio cohort reflects the range of enterprise technology innovation emerging from India and the opportunity to translate these ideas into business impact.
Building A Wider Innovation Ecosystem
SAP Startup Studio connects participating companies with SAP’s global product and engineering organization, enterprise customers, strategic partners and investors. Startups also receive opportunities to work with customers on validating and refining their technologies for enterprise use.
SAP said Startup Social has brought together more than 2,000 participants from the startup, enterprise and investment ecosystem since its launch in 2016.
The company said it will continue investing in technology platforms, talent and ecosystem partnerships aimed at helping Indian startups build trusted and enterprise-ready technologies.
