Egyptian startup Velents, which specialises in enterprise AI solutions, has continued its rapid expansion across the MENA region by launching in Bahrain.
Founded by entrepreneurs Mohamed Gaber and Abdulaziz Almuhaydib, Velents is powered by a joint Egyptian-Saudi team. Originally focused on recruitment, the company relaunched in 2023 with a broader mission – to help organisations attract top talent through AI-driven digital solutions.
Since then, it has secured clients across Egypt and Saudi Arabia, from private companies to universities and government ministries, and has seen rapid growth following the rollout of AI-powered agents in customer service, sales, and quality assurance. Velents secured US$1.5 million in funding last October.
It has now expanded into Bahrain following a strategic agreement signed with stc Bahrain, with the aim of launching an exclusive suite of Agentic AI product bundles tailored for enterprise customers across the country.
“Every telecom in the region is talking about becoming a techco. stc Bahrain just did it. From today, an enterprise in Bahrain can get autonomous AI agents the same way it gets connectivity — from one local provider, under one agreement, governed by local rules,” Gaber said.
“We built Velents on a simple principle: AI should run wherever regulation requires, in the language the customer actually speaks. stc Bahrain shares that conviction, and together we’re giving Bahraini enterprises access to AI that lives inside the Kingdom’s own digital infrastructure — not rented from abroad.”
