- Funding will accelerate adoption of its personal health app and clinic intelligence solution
- Startup aims to help individuals better understand their health and providers deliver more personalised care

Genie Health, a Singapore-based startup which turns fragmented health information into useful intelligence for individuals and healthcare providers, has raised US$3 million (RM12.2 million) in seed funding.
The round was led by the Nadathur Family Office, with participation from Liminal, a Founders’ Studio backed by Temasek, as well as two seasoned healthcare leaders investing alongside them. Anand Nadathur, Principal of the Nadathur Family Office, will join the company’s board of directors.
“This funding will enable us to scale both the Genie app and SmartCare faster, while deepening our platform capabilities to build out our vision of a two-sided health intelligence platform,” Hari V. Krishnan, co-founder and CEO of Genie Health, said.
Genie Health is building a two-sided health intelligence platform that helps individuals understand their health and what to do next, while helping healthcare providers strengthen patient engagement and deliver more personalised care. The new funding will deepen the platform’s AI capabilities, accelerate Genie SmartCare’s adoption among clinics, and grow the team’s product, engineering and healthcare expertise in Singapore.
The platform spans two products:
- Genie is a personal health app that turns each member’s health information into personalised insights and guidance.
- Genie SmartCare is a clinic intelligence platform leveraging agentic AI for patient engagement and holistic insights for healthcare providers.
“We back founders who are capable, committed, and aligned with our values for the long term. The Genie Health team brings all of that, along with deep experience building consumer platforms across Asia. They’re applying it to a space where technology can genuinely improve how people engage with their own health. We’re excited to partner with them on this journey,” Anand Nadathur, principal of the Nadathur Family Office, said.
“Genie Health’s founding team brings a strong track record of building and growing technology businesses. We see a compelling opportunity for AI to help individuals and healthcare providers make better use of fragmented health information, and believe Genie Health is well positioned to address that need,” Philip Chan, senior uilder at Liminal, said.
The company was co-founded by Hari V. Krishnan, Maya Hari and Sandeep Suvarna, who collectively bring deep experience building and scaling consumer and enterprise technology businesses globally.
Krishnan previously served as CEO and managing director of PropertyGuru Group, where he led its NYSE listing and subsequent US$1.1 billion (RM4.49 billion) sale to EQT. Before that, he headed LinkedIn’s Asia-Pacific business.
Meanwhile, Maya Hari is the former CEO of Terrascope and previously led Twitter’s business in the region, while Sandeep Suvarna headed international marketing at Twitch and Asia-Pacific marketing at LinkedIn.
One in three Singapore residents deals with at least one chronic condition, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or glucose management issues. As Singapore ages, rising chronic disease prevalence is increasing the need for preventive care, and residents are spending more on preventive healthcare and wellness than ever before.
Yet health information remains fragmented across health reports, wearables, apps and healthcare providers. The Genie app brings this information together in a secure Health Locker. It surfaces personalised insights and patterns to help members understand their health better and guides them on what to do next. Members retain control of their health data at all times.
“Members tell us they have more health information than ever, but still struggle to understand what it means for them and what to do next,” Hari said.
“Every person’s health journey is different. General advice from friends and social media can only go so far. Genie brings your health information together to create a personalised health companion that understands your unique physiology, helps you make informed choices and guides you towards becoming the healthiest version of yourself,” he added.
Rising chronic disease prevalence is adding to primary-care teams’ workload, increasing the need for efficient, sustained patient engagement.
Genie SmartCare uses agentic AI to engage patients around the clock and handle appointment and follow-up bookings. It combines longitudinal health records and wearable data, so care teams get a richer understanding of every patient. Providers retain complete oversight throughout.
“Healthcare teams want more time to understand their patients and support them prior to and beyond the consultation, but routine administrative demands can get in the way,” Maya Hari, co-founder and chair of Genie Health, said.
“SmartCare combines automated patient engagement with a fuller picture of each patient’s health journey, helping providers make every interaction more informed and personal,” she added.
