The founder of tech startup, SolarRock Technologies, Edidiong Mbong, is seeking pre-seed funding as the company explores early growth opportunities, with a focus on deploying artificial intelligence to tackle business challenges in the energy sector.
In an interview with Society Plus, Mbong said his company is leveraging AI, machine learning, and advanced algorithms to help businesses operate faster, smarter, and more efficiently.
According to him, artificial intelligence has the capacity to analyse complex problems at scale, enhance decision-making models, and boost productivity across multiple industries.
“AI can be used to solve many business problems faster by generating better algorithms through machine learning. When applied correctly, it can improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ultimately make the world a better place,” Mbong said.
He noted that rather than eliminating jobs, AI presents an opportunity to restructure the workforce and create new forms of employment, particularly in technology-driven economies.
“AI is not here to replace people entirely. It can put people back to work differently by creating new roles, new skills, and new opportunities,” he added.
Mbong also spoke on the importance of global collaboration, stressing that economic progress in the modern era requires countries and businesses to think beyond borders.
“Globalisation is already here. We need to stop fighting ourselves and start building globally. Technology has removed many barriers, and AI has given us a second chance to compete, collaborate, and grow together,” he said.
As global conversations around AI adoption, automation, and the future of work continue, Mbong believes startups that embrace innovation responsibly will play a critical role in driving sustainable economic growth.
