Introduction
In a startup ecosystem often driven by speed and scale, Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla stands out for building companies rooted in responsibility and real-world problems. Through his companies Mythri Innovo Tech and Mythri Med Tech he aims to deliver unique solutions to pressing problems that we often overlook.
Entrepreneurship Was Always The Plan
After completing his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2018, Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla knew he wanted to start a company but he decided to gain experience first. He chose to work with startups to understand how they functioned from the inside. Despite receiving flashy offers from multinational companies, he consciously avoided that path.
He began his career working with various startups and gradually transitioned into the healthcare startup space. Over the next few years he helped build a company from scratch and by 2023 he felt ready to start on his own.
From One Company to Multiple Ventures
Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla incorporated his first company Mythri Innovo Tech Solutions in 2023 as a medical device entity. Over time, it became clear that the two product lines he was working on could not exist under the same regulatory structure.
This led to the formation of Mythri Med Tech that was focused entirely on healthcare devices while Mythri Innovo Tech continued to build air quality solutions. A third venture in the transport space was also initiated, but Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla chose to pause it temporarily, acknowledging the practical limits of running multiple startups parallely.
Creating an Ecosystem Around Air Pollution
Under Mythri Innovo Tech, Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla is building an ecosystem around solutions to combat air pollution. The first product developed was a portable air quality monitor, SafeGuard Air, designed to give users accurate, real-time data about the air they breathe. There is a common misconception that indoor air is clean, but more often than not, it is more polluted than outdoor air.
The company has also developed home and car air purifiers that use embedded sensors to automatically adjust based on air quality. One of their most distinctive innovations is a purifying safety helmet designed especially for two-wheeler riders, construction workers, and healthcare professionals. The helmet provides both head protection and respiratory safety, claiming up to 99.9 % purification efficiency. Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla’s vision extends across everyday environments ensuring that protection travels with the individual rather than remaining static.
Why Healthcare Became Personal
The motivation behind Mythri Med Tech is deeply personal. Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla has witnessed multiple deaths due to cardiac arrest and strokes within his close family circle, many of which could have been prevented with early detection. This experience pushed him toward healthcare innovation, particularly in rural India where facilities are limited.
Before formally incorporating the company, he spent nearly two years developing prototypes, testing hardware, and validating the idea directly with hospital patients. Around 70% expressed willingness to pay for the product he proposed, giving him the confidence to manufacture it.
The Medical vs Wellness Divide
The flagship product under Mythri Med Tech is Vitals Care Pro, a rechargeable, reusable health monitoring patch capable of tracking over 20 human vitals. According to Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla, it is the first of its kind in India that is sustainable as well as medical grade.
He strongly emphasizes the difference between wellness devices and medical devices. While many consumer products collect health related data, they are not regulated or approved by medical bodies. Vitals Care Pro is being built to comply fully with India’s regulatory framework including CDSCO approvals and clinical testing.
The product aims to integrate seamlessly with India’s digital health ecosystem, enabling automatic data uploads to individual health IDs and easier diagnosis for doctors through centralized records.
Regulation as a Competitive Advantage
Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla believes that most startups avoid healthcare devices because regulation is complex and demanding. For him, cracking regulatory compliance is the company’s core strength. Mythri Med Tech has already received a CDSCO test license and works closely with experienced regulatory professionals, including their co-founder Rama Krishna Pidaparthi who has been associated with the FDA for over three decades now. If a medical device fails, the manufacturer must be answerable and that responsibility is something the company consciously accepts.
An Ecosystem backed by a Support System
Running multiple ventures would not be possible without strong people. Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla credits his team and co-founders, Sindhu Chinnala and Ramya Muthyala for managing operations, his mentors Ravi Eswarapu for guidance, and his family, especially his sister, Sreevani Beeseti for supporting him.
He also highlights the contribution of his project lead Mansi Singh Patel at Mythri Med Tech, who managed the product’s progress while balancing personal responsibilities. For Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla, ownership and commitment from the team matter as much as the idea itself.
Advice to Young Founders
For aspiring entrepreneurs, Laxmi Sai Praveen Kumar Panchakarla offers grounded advice. He urges founders to validate their ideas with real customers before investing time and money. He is candid about the sacrifices involved. From missed meals to sleepless nights, and years without revenue, building a startup requires patience.
“There is a real problem and then there are problems founders imagine,” he says. Understanding the difference between the two is what separates sustainable startups from short lived ones.
