Pinky Promise, a pioneering AI-led digital clinic focused on women’s reproductive and sexual health, has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by the Rebalance Angel Community, with participation from high-profile investors including Subramanian Ramadorai (former Vice Chairman of TCS), Mala Ramadorai, Ajay Nair, and Shreyas Srinivasan.
The fresh capital will be deployed to accelerate the platform’s integrated service offerings, launch a network of physical clinics, and expand its line of clinically backed nutritional supplements, ensuring a “continuity of care” model on a national scale.
Bridging the Gap: AI Meets Gynaecology
Founded in 2020 by Divya Kamerkar and Akanksha Vyas, Pinky Promise addresses a critical bottleneck in the Indian healthcare system: the lack of accessible, non-judgmental, and affordable reproductive healthcare.
The platform operates as a chat-first mobile app, combining advanced custom AI with human gynaecologist oversight. Key features include:
-
Hinglish Support: Available 24×7 in both English and Hinglish to ensure linguistic inclusivity.
-
Affordable Access: Consultations and care pathways start at just ₹99.
-
Instant Care: Users can chat with qualified gynaecologists and receive prescriptions and guidance within minutes, ensuring privacy and convenience.
Proven Traction: From Digital Chat to Every District
Pinky Promise has demonstrated remarkable product-market fit in a relatively short period. The startup claims to have already:
-
Provided care to over 350,000 women across 320+ unique symptoms and conditions, including PCOS, UTIs, and pregnancy.
-
Built a base of 40,000 paying customers spanning every single district in India.
-
Achieved a staggering 97.4% three-month retention rate, highlighting deep patient trust and the effectiveness of their “confidentiality-first” approach.
The Roadmap: A Phygital Future
While the app has successfully solved the problem of initial discovery and diagnosis, the new funding marks Pinky Promise’s transition into a comprehensive healthcare provider. By rolling out physical clinics, the startup aims to provide a seamless “phygital” experience—combining digital speed with physical examinations and interventions where necessary.
“Pinky Promise is designed to be a safe space where women can address their health concerns without judgment. This funding allows us to take that promise from the smartphone to the physical world,” said Divya Kamerkar, Co-founder.
