MUMBAI: Tringbox, an AI-first music technology startup, today announced that it has raised approximately ₹5 crore in seed funding to build what it describes as the world’s first environment-aware InStore AI Music Intelligence platform for commercial spaces through Tringbox InStore AI Music (https://tringbox.ai/).

The round is led by Nikhil Gandhi through GIPL, alongside participation from MGB Family Office and Paytm CBO Narendra Singh Yadav, with additional participation from angel investors through One Love Technologies Private Limited, Tringbox’s parent company.

Founded by Amandeep Singh Chawla, Tringbox spent its first year operating in stealth mode, focussed on building its core AI technology, running pilot deployments, collecting real-world feedback, and refining its product before scaling publicly. The company is currently live across 30+ premium brand venues in India, serving cafés, gyms, salons, clubs, restaurants, retail stores, and clinics.

Backed by access to NVIDIA Inception and AWS startup credits worth ₹1 crore, Tringbox is building infrastructure for large-scale, real-time music intelligence. These programs provide access to advanced AI tools, technical support, and a global innovation ecosystem as the company expands its platform.

Breaking Beyond Static Playlists: Traditional background music systems rely on fixed playlists that often ignore the context of the venue, the customer mood, and the time of day. Tringbox is building a new category of InStore AI Music by dynamically adjusting music based on venue type, weather conditions, temperature, humidity, time of day, and day of the week.

A soundtrack that works on a Monday morning may not create the same impact on a Friday evening. Tringbox AI is built to understand that difference and help commercial venues create music environments that feel relevant to every moment.

At the core of the platform is Tringbox’s proprietary Hybrid Neuro-Symbolic Music Engine, which combines audio intelligence with real-time venue context. The system analyses musical characteristics such as tempo, rhythm, loudness, energy, spectral balance, and harmonic stability to select music that aligns with the emotional and functional needs of a space.

He brings more than eight years of experience across product, analytics, and growth strategy. Prior to founding Tringbox, he worked in analytics consulting at Ernst & Young, led growth strategy and analytics at Amazon MX Player, and most recently served as General Manager at Paytm.

Why Brands Are Paying Premium for Intelligent Music Infrastructure: For multi-location brands, Tringbox is not just a background music solution. It acts as an enterprise-grade music intelligence layer that allows brands to manage in-store music across hundreds or thousands of outlets with consistency and control.

The platform enables brands to maintain the same musical vibe across every store, monitor what is playing through a central dashboard, and receive offline alerts when music stops at any location. Tringbox also manages loudness and volume balance intelligently, ensuring that even if a track is produced loudly, it does not disturb the premium ambience of the store.

Technology Built for Commercial Environments: Tringbox’s technology platform is led by Chief Technology Officer Badal Desai, who brings more than a decade of experience working with global technology companies in Canada across music systems, audio engineering, and applied AI.

According to Desai, Tringbox’s multimodal AI system works at the audio-signal level and interprets musical parameters such as tempo, rhythmic patterns, loudness dynamics, spectral balance, and harmonic stability. The platform combines audio intelligence with real-time venue context to create adaptive music environments across retail, hospitality, fitness, wellness, healthcare, and other commercial settings.

For example, a gym may require high-energy music that supports movement and motivation, while a clinic or wellness space may need calmer soundscapes that help reduce stress. A café, retail store, or hotel lobby may need music that encourages warmth, comfort, conversation, and longer dwell time. Tringbox AI is designed to adapt to these different environments automatically.

The company uses high-quality, royalty-free audio that is purpose-built for commercial ambience and environmental modulation rather than entertainment alone.

Building a Broader Music Ecosystem: Beyond in-store music intelligence, Tringbox also operates its consumer music interaction platform through Tringbox, offering a QR-based song request solution for restaurants, bars, clubs, and entertainment venues.

Guests can request songs through QR codes placed inside venues, while Tringbox’s AI Vibe Check system evaluates whether requests align with the venue’s music policy, audience profile, time of day, and overall ambience.

The venue-side solution is integrated with DJs, singers, karaoke hosts, and performers through the Tringbox Partner App, enabling venues to offer a more interactive music experience while maintaining control over the atmosphere.

This creates an additional revenue layer for venues and performers through song requests, tips, and premium features such as skip-the-queue, while allowing businesses to maintain control over the overall music experience.

Growth Plans: India is home to millions of commercial establishments, including retail outlets, cafés, restaurants, salons, gyms, clinics, hotels, and other high-footfall spaces. Tringbox believes that more than one million of these venues represent a near-term opportunity for intelligent music infrastructure.

With the fresh capital, Tringbox plans to accelerate product development, expand its intelligent speaker network, and scale deployments across premium venues across India. The company aims to become the default operating system for InStore Music and commercial sound environments worldwide.
