American Big Tech companies including Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet Inc. and Meta Platforms Inc., are expected to spend over US$700 billion this year to accelerate their AI infrastructure buildouts, and are on track to surpass US$5 trillion on AI and data centre spend by 2030, according to a June report by Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
