Ahead Health, a Zurich-based preventive healthcare company, has secured a €8.7 million ($10 million) investment led by venture capital firms 3VC and RTP Global. It is also launching in Germany and the Netherlands, its first markets beyond Switzerland.
In January 2026, the Swiss startup raised €5.1 million ($6 million) in funding led by RTP Global.
Nick Lenten, CEO and co-founder of Ahead Health, said, “We built Ahead in Switzerland to prove that prevention can be rigorous, fast and useful, and it works. From today, people in Munich can book a preventive check-up, with the Netherlands opening the waitlist. We’re assembling the best team in European prevention, and we’re only getting started.”
Founded in 2024 by ex-Google executives, medical doctors, and healthtech builders, Ahead Health is a preventive health platform on a mission to make proactive, personalised healthcare available to everyone.
The company states that it combines advanced blood panels, whole-body MRI, and an AI-powered platform through which each member can add medical history into a single, doctor-reviewed check-up. As per the company, this brings several views of the body together for a more complete picture, leading to more relevant, confident decisions.
The platform is built around repeat testing over time rather than one-off snapshots and tracks each person’s health against their own baseline, and may catch meaningful change early. It translates complex biomarkers into personalised, actionable insights. This can lead to detection of conditions like cancer, brain disease, endometriosis, and cardiovascular issues years earlier than traditional healthcare.
Ahead Health claims that its full-body MRI scan and blood tests take just 30 minutes, result in a personalised health plan, and that the entire process is digital.
Peter Lasinger, Partner at 3VC, said, “We back only a handful of teams each year, looking for founders tackling the world’s most essential causes. Ahead Health stands out because they combine a deeply mission-driven culture, with absolute rigour and deep technical excellence. They’re not just building a platform, they are transforming healthcare from the ground up. We’re incredibly proud to support this world-class team as they expand into Germany and the Netherlands.”
The company notes that since launching in Switzerland, it has built a network of 20+ partner centres and a growing range of offerings.
It plans to use this capital to support the expansion across Germany and the Netherlands. In both markets, Ahead Health is expanding hand-in-hand with the local medical community, partnering with established clinics, radiology centres, and doctors rather than building facilities from scratch. The model lets the company bring high-quality preventive care to new markets quickly while keeping it grounded in local clinical expertise.
Ahead Health is initiating the rollout with a comprehensive blood test. The test maps early signals around metabolic health, inflammation markers, organ function and cardiovascular risk, among others. Every result is reviewed by a licensed doctor and translated into a personal action plan. It plans to launch imaging, such as MRI, soon.
Currently, the company offers preventive check-ups that can now be booked in Germany, starting in Munich. In the Netherlands, people can join the waitlist, and the full rollout will follow in August.
