Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has invested in Deepak Sahni’s stealth healthcare startup UN:BLOC and joined its founding team, marking their second entrepreneurial collaboration after Healthians.
Although the startup is yet to reveal its product publicly, Singh has chosen to back the startup at its pre-launch stage, citing his long-standing trust in Sahni’s vision and the healthcare challenge the venture aims to address.
In 2015, Yuvraj Singh, through YouWeCan Ventures, became one of the earliest investors in Healthians, the diagnostics startup founded by Deepak Sahni.
Healthians later grew into one of India’s leading at-home diagnostics platforms, helping expand access to preventive healthcare services across the country.
That earlier collaboration has now paved the way for Singh’s involvement in Sahni’s latest healthcare venture.
Founded in 2026 and headquartered in Gurugram, UN:BLOC is currently operating in stealth mode.
The startup has not yet disclosed details of its technology or business model but says it is working to challenge long-standing assumptions in healthcare and address some of the industry’s most difficult problems.
Yuvraj Singh said his decision to invest before the startup’s public unveiling was driven by his confidence in both the founder and the mission.
“I’ve known Deepak for over twelve years, since the early days of Healthians,” said Yuvraj Singh. “So when the idea of UN:BLOC was first shared with me by Deepak, I knew it had the potential to redefine how we think about health.”
“The more I saw the scale of the problem it was trying to solve and the impact it could create, the more certain I became that I wanted to be involved from the very beginning and be part of a mission that can improve millions of lives.”
Deepak Sahni described Singh’s backing as both a personal milestone and a vote of confidence in the startup’s long-term vision.
“Yuvi backed me when I was building Healthians, at a time when very few people did,” said Deepak Sahni, Founder of UN:BLOC. “Having him back as an investor and as part of the founding team means a great deal to me personally.”
“We’re not trying to build something loud. We’re trying to change how a patient is seen, not as someone to be managed for life, but as someone who can be understood at the root. There is a lot of work happening behind the scenes, and a long road ahead. This gives us the belief to keep walking it.”
Yuvraj Singh is expected to be the first among a group of founders, healthcare leaders, and business executives who are in discussions to participate in UN:BLOC’s pre-launch funding round.
