DocPharma, a prescription-compliant quick commerce supply chain platform for healthcare, today announced that it has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Equentis.
Existing investor 100Unicorns also participated, alongside Vinners and a consortium of strategic angel investors.
Unlike an e-pharmacy that sells directly to consumers, DocPharma positions itself as an infrastructure layer that other healthcare platforms plug into.
The startup said its network of licensed dark stores, combined with its own software platform and a prescription compliant fulfilment process, allows e-pharmacies, health insurers, corporate wellness providers, hospitals, wellness and nutraceutical brands, and pet care businesses to offer delivery within 30 minutes without building this supply chain themselves.
The startup’s core product is DocPharma One, a software platform that combines warehouse management, inventory tracking, order management, and fulfilment into a single system. According to the startup, it gives real time visibility into stock, routes orders to the nearest compliant store, and handles prescription verification at the speed quick commerce customers have come to expect.
“Quick commerce trained Indian customers to expect anything in minutes, except the one category that matters most when they actually need it, medicine. The reason is not effort, it is inventory. A pharmacy stocking a few thousand SKUs simply cannot carry what a 300,000 SKU category demands, and no single store or platform has ever made the economics work to hold that much inventory at hyperlocal speed in a need based category,” said Saquib Ali, co-founder of DocPharma.
“That is the exact problem DocPharma was built to solve, dark stores carrying over 40,000 SKUs each, run on “DocPharma One” AI driven, pharmacist & Compliance led backbone, so customers finally get from medicine the same speed they already expect from everything else, without cutting a single corner,” Ali added.
Shashank Rai, another co-founder, said the company built its compliance processes from scratch rather than adapting existing retail models.
“Healthcare supply chains demand a fundamentally different approach from traditional commerce. Every product carries its own storage protocol, compliance requirement and patient implication. We built this supply chain rule by rule, one licensed dark store at a time,” he said.
Sagar Chauhan, the third co-founder, said the startup built its technology stack in-house rather than relying on outside vendors.
“DocPharma One is the intelligence layer powering our entire supply chain, built from the ground up for AI driven inventory forecasting, prescription validation and real time visibility. What excites me most is that we built every layer of it ourselves, from the OMS and WMS to the pharmacist checkpoint workflows that tie it all together, without leaning on a single third party system,” he said.
