India’s startup funding activity picked up yesterday, with Rs 5,451.1 million raised across the latest disclosed deals. Funding was largely driven by a large growth-stage round in the electric mobility sector, while aerospace, deeptech, cleantech, and AI startups also attracted capital. The activity signals continued investor interest in technology-led and infrastructure-focused businesses, despite a selective funding environment.

Today’s funding activity remained focused on healthtech and neurotech, with DocPharma raising $2 million and xStep securing Titan Capital backing. The deals reflect growing investor interest in healthcare infrastructure and specialized technology-driven solutions.

DocPharma Raises $2 Million to Expand Healthcare Supply Chain

DocPharma

Company: DocPharma
Founded: 2023
Funding: $2 Million Pre-Series A
Lead Investor: Equentis
Other Investors: 100Unicorns, Vinners, Strategic Angel Investors
Sector: HealthTech / Healthcare Supply Chain

Bengaluru-based healthcare supply chain startup DocPharma has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Equentis. Existing investors 100Unicorns and Vinners, along with a consortium of strategic angel investors, also participated in the round.

The company will use the capital to build 100 new compliant and licensed dark stores as it expands its presence from more than 12 cities to over 50 cities. The expansion is expected to strengthen the infrastructure supporting more than 30 health and wellness platforms across India.

Founded in 2023 by Saquib Ali, Shashank Rai and Sagar Chauhan, DocPharma operates as a backend supply chain platform for healthcare businesses. Its network of licensed dark stores, DocPharma One SaaS platform, AI-powered inventory management and prescription-compliant fulfilment infrastructure allow healthcare platforms to offer medicines and wellness products without developing their own supply chains.

The startup serves businesses across e-pharmacies, health insurance, corporate wellness, hospitals, D2C wellness, nutraceuticals and pet care. Its infrastructure handles inventory, order management and prescription-compliant fulfilment for partner platforms.

DocPharma currently operates across more than 12 cities and has fulfilled over 800,000 orders, with a fulfilment rate of more than 95%. The company said its operations have impacted more than 500,000 lives across India.

Its proprietary SaaS platform combines warehouse management, inventory intelligence, order management and fulfilment into a single system. The platform offers real-time inventory visibility, routes orders to the nearest compliant fulfilment centre and supports prescription-compliant processing.

The funding comes as healthcare companies increasingly look to build faster delivery networks while maintaining compliance around medicine distribution. DocPharma’s expansion strategy focuses on building the infrastructure that allows healthcare platforms to scale fulfilment without investing heavily in their own physical supply chains.

The company’s expansion comes amid growing competition in India’s pharmacy quick-commerce market. Bengaluru-based pharmacy-first quick-commerce startup Plazza raised $15 million in Series A funding in July, with Accel, Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners leading the round. Plazza plans to use the funding to strengthen its AI-driven inventory intelligence, supply chain capabilities and pharmacy network while targeting 15–30 minute medicine delivery.
