Health Force, a Barcelona-based HealthTech startup building enterprise-grade AI agents for hospital operations, has raised €4.2 million in Seed funding.
The round was led by LUMO Labs, with participation from Step Venture, Next Tier Ventures, Target Global and Calm/Storm.

Founded in Vienna in 2022 by Fadi Haddad and Dr. Juan Suárez, Health Force claims to be building the operations layer for Europe’s hospitals. It claims to empower hospitals and clinics across Europe by using AI agents to automate tedious admin work, cut costs, and reduce errors.
Highlighting the widening capacity gap faced by hospitals across Europe, the company states that the demand for care rises every year, while the people who do the operational work behind it are increasingly difficult to hire. This causes backlogs and delays in processes.
Health Force claims to close this gap with enterprise-grade AI agents that work alongside hospital operations teams and autonomously manage end-to-end processes under human supervision. The company notes that its pre-trained agents join hospital teams using their own computers and logins, sign in to the systems hospitals already use, and complete operational work end-to-end. According to the startup, the agents’ actions are fully traceable as they are built on a deterministic-first platform.
The technology now runs hospital-insurance operations end-to-end, completing prior-authorisation checks, claims processing, regulatory reporting and other operational tasks.

All agents run on the same platform, which means hospitals work with one partner to solve many problems. It also means overcoming Europe’s market fragmentation: the same platform automating hospital-insurance workflows in Italy automates SICA reporting in Portugal, and aims to automate KHVVG reporting in Germany next,” said Haddad, co-founder and CEO at Health Force.
The company reports that three out of four cases are completed without human involvement, and the remaining case is prepared by the agent and handed to staff with exactly what needs checking, cutting the time it takes to resolve.

The company plans to use this capital to expand its catalogue of agents into additional hospital workflows, including quality reporting, clinical-trial operations, and resource optimisation. The company also intends to grow its engineering and delivery teams and expand into Germany, France and Spain.
Headquartered in Barcelona, with an operations hub in Milan, the company’s agents currently operate across Italy’s leading hospital groups, including Humanitas and Gruppo San Donato, and handle more than 200,000 patient cases a year. Its platform is also used for hospital quality reporting in Portugal.
