GLODICEA Will Drive BTS’s Push For Homegrown HealthTech — Manneh

Ousman Manneh, the Chief Executive Officer and Systems Engineer of the Gambian HealthTech startup BTS Health Technologies, has said his recognition at the 2026 Global Distinguished CEOs Awards (GLODICEA) will encourage the company to deepen its efforts to develop innovative healthcare technologies tailored to Africa’s needs.

Manneh is to receive the award for Africa’s Most Outstanding Emerging CEO in HealthTech Innovation – 2026 at the GLODICEA ceremony scheduled for Friday, 30 October 2026, at The Brookside, Maitama, Abuja.

The award, presented by The Papyrus Global, recognises Manneh’s emerging leadership in healthcare technology and his efforts to develop affordable, intelligent and connected medical solutions designed for African healthcare systems.

At BTS Health Technologies, Manneh is leading the development of the Body Tracking System (BTS), an integrated patient-monitoring device that combines multiple physiological measurements into a single portable unit.

The system incorporates embedded electronics, wireless communication, cloud-based health data management, and companion mobile applications to provide hospitals, clinicians, and caregivers with more efficient, connected patient monitoring.

The recognition also highlights the company’s broader approach to developing medical technology locally. BTS Health Technologies has established its engineering concept, product requirements, system architecture and development roadmap, positioning the company for prototype development, testing and eventual pilot deployment.

In his letter of acceptance dated 22 September 2026, Manneh expressed appreciation to The Papyrus Global for the recognition and confirmed his attendance at the Abuja ceremony.

He described the honour as a milestone for both himself and BTS Health Technologies, saying the recognition would strengthen the team’s resolve to continue developing its flagship technology and to pursue a broader vision for African healthcare innovation.

He said, “I sincerely thank The Papyrus Global for this recognition and honour. This recognition is a milestone not only for me, but also for BTS Health Technologies and the team behind the Body Tracking System. The award will spur us to continue developing the Body Tracking System and to pursue our broader vision for African healthcare innovation.

We remain committed to building affordable, intelligent and connected healthcare technologies that respond to the realities and needs of African healthcare systems.”

The award also shines a spotlight on The Gambia’s emerging HealthTech ecosystem and the growing contribution of African entrepreneurs to developing locally relevant solutions to the continent’s healthcare challenges.

GLODICEA, an international recognition platform established by The Papyrus Global, celebrates business leaders, entrepreneurs and corporate executives whose leadership, innovation and enterprise contribute to Africa’s private sector and professional development.

The 2026 edition is expected to bring together business leaders and guests from across Africa and beyond to celebrate leadership, innovation, enterprise and professional achievement.
