Edtech startup NPrep has raised $1.5 million in seed funding to expand its AI-based learning platform for nursing students and healthcare professionals. The funding round was led by Lumikai.

The startup provides a video-based and AI-powered education platform for students preparing for nursing entrance examinations and government healthcare jobs. Its aim is to help students improve their preparation and develop practical healthcare skills.

The platform offers features such as personalized learning modules, clinical situation simulations and automated assessments. These tools help students strengthen both their exam preparation and practical healthcare skills.

NPrep: Bridging the Gap Between Nursing Education and Employment

NPrep aims to reduce the growing gap between nursing education and workforce readiness in India. The company provides digital learning along with career support, mock interviews, resume guidance and placement assistance for students. The platform includes over 1,400 hours of video content, an AI mentor, exam data-based questions and personalized performance tracking, which help students achieve better exam outcomes.

Speaking about its achievements, within just 10 months, more than 100,000 nurses across India have joined the platform. So far, over 6 million minutes of video content have been watched and more than 31 million questions have been answered on the platform.

The startup was founded by Dr. Prince Kaushik (CEO), Dr. Utkarsh Paliwal (CSO) and Dr. Gaurav Khurana (COO), who are alumni of All India Institute of Medical Sciences Jodhpur.

Niaz Laik, Partner at Lumikai, said that the investment marks an important step toward creating real-world impact through AI-based education platforms, especially at a time when India is emerging as a major global supplier of healthcare talent.

Dr. Prince Kaushik said that the edtech industry is rapidly transforming with the integration of AI. NPrep aims to make healthcare education and career advancement more accessible through the combination of AI and expert educators.

Multiple Investors Join NPrep, Plans to Expand AI Platform

This funding round also saw participation from several investors, including All In Capital, Velo Partners, the family office of DSP Group and Viren Shetty (Executive Vice President, Narayana Health). The investment is considered an important step not only for the startup’s business expansion but also for strengthening technology-driven nursing education in India.

Through this funding, the company plans to further enhance its AI-based learning platform. New courses and exam-focused study materials will be added, while existing AI tools and learning algorithms will be upgraded to provide students with a more personalized and effective learning experience.

The company also aims to reach a larger number of nursing students and healthcare aspirants across the country. To achieve this, it will expand its digital platform, develop new learning modules and focus on connecting students with exam preparation, career guidance and employment opportunities.

Experts also believe that investments in AI-driven education platforms not only make exam preparation easier but also play a significant role in preparing better-trained and skilled professionals for the healthcare sector.
