Sports media executive Dick Glover, who helped launch Sportico in 2020, was recently named the executive chairman of AI-powered B2B sports data products provider Blitz Analytics.
Blitz AI agents query NBA, MLB and NFL data in real-time to answer user questions, generate insights in-game or produce recaps after the fact. Founders Devon Sinha and Tejas Srinivasan, former Duke classmates and pro bettors who previously spent time as engineers at Amazon and Microsoft, respectively, designed the tool with broadcasters, teams, sportsbooks and consumer platforms in mind. Blitz relies on multiple underlying AI models based on the given task.
Glover previously spent time at WWE, ESPN, NASCAR, funnyordie.com and Mandalay Sports Media. He co-founded Sportico in 2020, serving as president and CEO before departing in 2024. Since then, he has served as an advisor to Genius Sports and Bruin Capital. At Blitz, he’s been tasked with building out media use-cases with creators and distributors worldwide.
“Devon and Tejas have built something genuinely foundational and I’m here to help them scale it,” Glover said in a statement. Based in San Francisco, Blitz has been self-funded to date.
Glover also recently announced an incubator for early-stage sports and tech companies, Happy Gene.
