Anthropic, the company behind the AI assistant Claude, is asking people to submit questions they have about artificial intelligence. According to an official blog post, the company says it will publicly share what it does to respond to those questions, and will also be open about any areas where it does not meet its own goals.
The company has already been collecting views on AI through several large surveys. It polled 52,000 people in the United States, asked questions to 81,000 Claude users in 159 countries and 70 languages, ran dozens of in‑person focus groups, and studied anonymised data from people using Claude. Anthropic says it also has a research team, called the Anthropic Institute, that looks at how AI affects society, and a Long‑Term Benefit Trust that monitors how the company handles its responsibilities.
The blog post lists a range of topics that the company says people often raise. Some people mention possible benefits, such as using AI to reduce heavy workloads, improve learning, speed up science, or find new medical treatments. Others raise concerns, including job losses, less value placed on creative work, a loss of independent thinking, and the chance that AI could be misused.

People can now send in their own questions through a website the company has set up. Anthropic says it will use the questions to help decide what to focus on and will provide public updates on any steps it takes. It did not say when those updates would be published. The company also noted that it is registered as a Public Benefit Corporation, which means it has a legal duty to aim for a positive impact on society.
