The Week’s Largest Startup Funding Rounds

Here are the biggest disclosed startup funding rounds across Latin America this week, ranked from largest to smallest.

1. Brendi, $6.6M, Restaurant technology, Brazil

Brendi operates an AI-powered platform that enables restaurants to receive and manage customer orders directly through WhatsApp, handling text and voice requests, menus, and payments while automating customer conversations. By helping restaurants sell directly to customers, the platform reduces their reliance on third-party delivery marketplaces and improves customer engagement.

The company raised $6.6 million in a round led by Propel Ventures, with participation from Big Bets, Norte Ventures, Citrino, and angel investors including iFood co-founder Patrick Sigrist and Hyperplane founder Daniel Silva. Brendi will use the funding to accelerate product development, expand to between 10,000 and 15,000 restaurants by the end of the year, and repurchase shares from early angel investors.
